Electric Percolator

What do like/dislike about my percolator?

I love the taste you get from it, but it doesn't fill the room with the aroma of coffee - to me that's a downside.

Everyone raves about my coffee and it's got a lot to do with the perculator.

One downside is the mess with the coffee grounds. I buy basket filters and cut a hole in the middle for the shaft to fit through and that makes cleaning it as simple as dragging the filter into the bin and a quick rinse.

Do I regret buying it?

No, but the electric ones don't seem to last past a couple of years - sometimes only a year. It can get expensive buying one at $89 every year.

Walmart has a GE at $59 that has been very good.

What are the advantages?

Great coffeee, relatively quick to brew

What type of coffee do I use for it?

Only Columbian and always add an extra scoop over what the recomendations are.
