My Baby Gaggia Twin
What do I like/dislike about my Baby Gaggia Twin?
I like how the machine works, but it takes a bit of reading of the instructions to get everything going smoothly. I was hoping for a stronger espresso output from the machine because it came out a lot faster through the filters than I thought it should. It is very hot and makes a little bit of a creme, but then again..... maybe my beans are bad. I use a conical burr grinder with it as well.
Do you regret buying it?
Well I bought it for my ex-girlfriend who was French and she didn't think the espresso output was as strong as the stores like (starbucks). She thought it was a nice strong coffee though. She was also disappointed with the crema. This pretty much sank my boat and made me feel horrible about my purchase.
What are the advantages?
The making of an espresso is pretty fast and you can make settings for how many cups. The splitting of the espresso from the "twin" is very close and you need very small cups to get both on the tray. The frother works very well and makes latte's a breeze.
What type of coffee do you use for it?
I use espresso coffee, but it doesn't seem to be changing the output much. I think the 15 bar pressure that I have in my machine may not be enough or i need some suggestions for good fresh beans.

Hi Dwight,
Thanks for your "My Baby Gaggia Twin" story. To your problem of getting proper crema: Of course I don't know what coffee mill you use, but please consider that for espresso beans you need a finer grind to be able to get a good crema from an espresso machine.
