Restaurant Coffee

My wife and I order coffee when we dine out. It is usually excellent, and much better than anything we have been able to make at home.

In our lifetime(s) we have gone through several different brands, tried different coffees, but have never been able to find one that really, really makes excellent coffee at HOME.

Most of the reviews center around reliability, auto-timer modes, cute little blue LED's, filter style, you name it.

Very little is actually said about how the coffee TASTES compared to either a restaurant of coffee house. Came here via BING, still cannot seem to find the answer.

I can quite understand your frustration.
In our kitchen we store all the different coffee maker types, that we went through trying to find the one that would give us that perfect cup of coffee.
What we have now is a Jura ENA 9 One Touch.
We think that with this machine we've finally found a coffee that is Better than what we get served in any restaurant.

Its because the machine grinds the beans as it needs them. This way no aromas are lost. The second reason is that the coffee does not sit for hours in a pot, getting bitter.

Yes we're very happy with the cappuccinos and latte macchiatos that we are now addicted to.
